The COVID-19 pandemic forced all of us to change our professional life. After careful consideration and evaluation of the risks of the virus progression, we have decided to cancel the face-to-face congress and to offer you a virtual congress experience.

We have also evaluated the possibility of postponing again the face-to-face congress but due to the uncertainty of the virus progression and the high possibility of a second wave of the virus outbreak in the second half of the year, the postponement of the congress might not be a feasible solution.

The congress will be available online probably on July dates and will be accessible on demand for several months. Further information will follow.

The registrations confirmed for the congress will be automatically confirmed for the virtual congress. Abstracts of both oral and poster presentations will be available online. A discount of 40% on all registration fees will be applied.

We are aware that this decision will have consequences for many of you but we have considered the health and safety of our community as first priority. We ask you to be patient for a little while longer to give us the time to send you all the necessary information for attending the virtual congress. The congress website will be updated in the next weeks.

We thank you for your understanding and hope to welcome as many of you as possible to our virtual congress. We can take advantage of this situation to live a unique experience.

Finally we confirm that the 7th edition of the congress in 2022 will be in Prague. Official dates will be announced at soonest. We all look forward to meeting you there and shake hands again.

We regret to inform you that the spread of the Covid-19 virus has forced us to move the congress to 12-14 July 2020, in Prague.

Wearesure you understand that this forced choice has been very painful and will probably have consequences for all of us. However, the Steering Committee, together with the Patient Board, has done its best to maintain the integrity of the congress and its lectures, workshops, opportunities for networking etc..

Our main goal is to be sure that the Scleroderma community carries on, is ever stronger and can meet safely.

We hope that you will be able to attend the July edition of the Systemic Sclerosis World Congress.
