Day by day Itinerary
Day 1: Naples: Walking tour & Underground Naples with Geothermal Pizza Tasting
Individual arrival to Naples. Accommodation in a hotel close by the railway station.
In the afternoon, meet our local guide for a Neapolitan walking tour to discover the hotspots of this vibrant city rich in history, beautiful architecture and delicious food. Blessed with sun, sea and the fertile land around Mt. Vesuvius, the city shows a character that has no equal. Dive into the city life and find out all you need to know to get confident with city centre and many useful insider tips.
Later on, you can enjoy a Tour of Naples Underground, a very peculiar tour 40 metres underground!
You find a different world, unexplored, isolated by time but deeply connected with the world above. It’s the heart of Naples and the place from which the city was born, a world 2400 years old. Every historic epic, from the foundation of Neapolis, to the bombs of WWII, has left its mark on the walls of the yellow tufa stone, the soul of Naples, and the stone with which the city was built.
This rock has also an extraordinary thermal insulation and humidity control.
You will end the tour with dinner tasting a pizza that has been left from 24 to 48 hours in the tufaceous rooms to leaven….a “geothermal pizza”! The traditional “Margherita” (tomato sauce, mozzarella and basil) is the best choice to taste the original dough.
You will have then the rest of the evening at disposal for a stroll along the Lungomare Caracciolo and overnight in the hotel.
Day 2: Naples, Amalfi Coast and limoncello class
After breakfast, meet our guide and hop onboard a comfortable coach to spend a day visiting the amazing Amalfi Coast. Stop along the road to admire the panorama and for photo shooting. Visit Positano and Amalfi, and walk down some of the most beautiful places of the area...
Magically suspended between the blue sky and the iridescent coloured sea, the Amalfi coast seems to be born from the palette of a painter. It is the land where the sweet scent of lemon blossoms and harmonizes itself with the most aromatic one of the Mediterranean vegetation and the acrid aroma of saltiness; where the brilliant colours of the majolica domes, bougainvillea and carnations pergolas give an evident coloured touch to the typical whitewashed houses, clinging to the last offshoots of the Lattari Mounts that plunge dramatically into the sea.
Then experience how to make the authentic Limoncello! Thanks to a practical class run by an expert you’ll be guided through the preparation of the ingredients and discuss the recipe traditionally used on the Costiera, while you prepare the citrus, botanicals and alcohol. At the end enjoy a tasting of this amazing lemon liqueur.
Return to Naples and overnight in hotel.
Day 3: Naples: Capri, Anacapri & Blue Grotto
This last day will be dedicated to Capri Island. Lead by a private guide, take the ferry boat from Naples Port to reach the Island. Visit Capri Town and Anacapri by private bus. Take a relaxing stroll through the town’s narrow streets or shop among the many boutiques or handmade crafts and artisanal products.
Time for lunch at your leisure.
As optional excursion - if the sea conditions permits, you can visit the Blue Grotto (not included) entering this very peculiar sea cave on a small rowboat. Sunlight, passing through an underwater cavity and shining through the seawater, creates a blue reflection that illuminates the cavern.
Return to Naples later in the afternoon and overnight in hotel.
