HOW TO REACH BRUSSELS
Brussels National Airport (02 753 42 21, flight information 0900 70 000; www.brusselsairport.be; Zaventem), in times past referred to as Zaventem airport, is 14km northeast of Brussels. The compact terminal’s Promenade floor (Level 4) includes shops and a cafeteria with a view of the runways. Level 0 there is the bus terminus and on Level –1 the Train Station.
Getting around
Public transports
Most public transport in the Brussels-Capital Region is organized by the STIB (Société des Transports intercommunaux bruxellois).
The network includes metro lines, which connect the eastern and western districts of the city. Pre-metro lines (trams in the tunnels) complete the metro service. A great many metro lines also have above ground bus and tram connections.

Brussels has a maritime temperate climate with warm summers and mild winters. The city has a high average annual rainfall and visitors can expect a downpour at any time of year. Temperatures in September range from 10° to 18°C.
